I am so sick of winter. It's getting boring now, it's March, it's about time it started to warm up. But it seems to be getting colder. I woke up this morning and it was 10ºC in my room. I had to lie in bed for about half an hour before I could bring myself to get up. It doesn't help that my mum said our electric bill was too high, so I'm having to cut back on using my heater. I don't really mind winter, but this one has been a bit rubbish. We've had exactly one day with decent snow on the ground. Snow is the best thing about winter, without it it's just cold and depressing.
My ideal climate would be somewhere that gets the best of both worlds, a decent winter (with snow! I so need to move inland!) and fairly warm summers. I'm getting quite nostalgic for Austria. It was freezing there in the winter, but it was a different sort of freezing. I don't know how to describe it, but I didn't mind it as much. And they had snow! You've got to respect a country that can have outdoor ice rinks in the winter and outdoor swimming pools in the summer and make them both work! Maybe I should go back there. Or anywhere in that area really...
