I finally got around to watching Supernatural. I ended up going in town today for comics, then meeting my friend for a very long lunch and a couple of games of pool, then my sister came round for tea, then my dad wanted to watch Merlin. But finally I go to it.

I'm writing this directly after watching the new episode, so don't expect it to be very coherent or well thought out...

Yes! Sanctuary's back!

I found it completely by accident though randomly scrolling through the listings searching for the new episode of Smallville, but it starts next Tuesday. As does Smallville. Supernatural returns on Wednesday. Apparently, a lot of shows that I watch begin with the letter S. I've really got to get that Sky Nevermiss thing my friend was talking about sorted, so I can keep track of them all, becuase stuff isn't advertised properly. Or it is, and becuase everything I watch now is recorded, I just fast forward through the adverts and miss it. Downside to the convenience of Sky+, I guess.

Anyway, X-Men First Class comes out tomorrow, and I'm going, despite Orange Wednesdays and first night mania. I really hope it's good!

Earlyish night tonight, I think. Work was completely mental, as always after bank holidays, and I'm exhausted.

I went to see Thor again yesterday. Not (exactly) my choice, my friend wanted to go the cinema and that was the only thing we could agree on to see. He'd probably have seen PotC, but he has somehow managed not to have seen all the other ones and we weren't sure how relevant they would be. Probably not at all, actually, but I'm going to see that with my dad next week anyway.

Having fallen into the fandom a little since I last saw it, and knowing more about the characters, Thor is actually better now than the first time. My friend disagrees about the awesomeness of Loki though, as apparently Thor is better looking and Loki is "creepy". Whatever.

I had completely forgotten until last night that the Supernatural season finale had been on, so I watched it, both episodes, this morning. Spoilers )

Shit My Dad Days is funny. I thought it was crap at first, the first episode was definitely crap, but it improves so much. Sometimes it has me in hysterics. Though, it's not as good as Boston Legal. Denny Crane was William Shatner's ultimate role. I should watch my DVD of that again sometime.

I ordered the book of A Game of Thrones, might as well give it a go.

Supernatural...

I've finally gotten myself all caught up on Supernatural.

Firstly, thanks very much, Facebook, for filling my f'list with unfiltered spoilers. Not cool at all.

Okay, I love to mess around with reality as much as the next fanfic author, but I think Supernatural is taking it a bit far. It wasn't so bad when Red Dwarf did it, it was a comedy show, and it is a funny idea, but I'm not sure whether this is going to be funny or angsty, and also, wtf?

Synopsis for upcoming episode of Supernatural )

Well, the RPF slashers are going to love it...

While I'm aware that I should be sleeping, right now I am torn between writing one of the two fanfics I'm currently working on, a third which is set after the Thirst and involves making Edgar into a half vampire just cos I'm evil. The other alternative is to catch up on Supernatural, since I've only seen the first two episodes of the current season. What to do, what to do...

Sanctuary's back!

I noticed the first episode on Anytime, luckily, because otherwise I'd have missed it. Then yesterday I watched the first two together.

Recently I'm not getting as excited about my shows. Most of them just aren't as obsess-worthy as they used to be, I mean, the Stargate franchise had become Stargate Universe, which is frankly as meh as a series can be while still being sci-fi. Smallville is really starting to wind down despite the fact that they continue to churn out season after season. Chuck is okay, as ever, but the current season of that seems to be lacking something too. Or possible it's gained something, in the form of the relationship between Chuck and Sarah, that makes it less enjoyable. The same goes for House, though to a lesser extent. I've never been a 'Huddy' fan, and I'm just watching each episode thinking "break up, break up, break up!" I mean, you know they're going to, right. Right?!

But Sanctuary never fails to deliver. It's good to know that I can still rely on it to be exactly what it has always been. I just wish Tesla had been in it, that would've made it perfect. I assume (hope) he'll show up sometime during this season. Until then, I'll just enjoy.

And eventually I'm hoping the next season of Caprica will turn up over here. That's the other one that I'm really looking forward to. And Supernatural, though I honestly can't think what they're going to do this season (see how I'm being good and not reading spoilers or heading to projectfreetv to watch?) But really, I need to get into some new shows, or else I'm going to start watching Masterchef or something equally horrific. Are there any good ones out there that I've been missing? Any suggestions? I can watch stuff online if it doesn't show in the UK. I mean, I've watched the entire series of Bleach that way.

Ooh, I just remembered that the Supernatural season finale is on tonight. That's exciting! I was going to see Transformers tonight, but now I'm not. That'll do nicely instead though.

Three seperate people have encouraged me to watch Being Human on Sunday night. Well, I so intend to watch it, but the BBC intelligently decided to put it on against both brand new Lost and brand new Supernatural. Now, since Sky+ can only tape two things at a time, guess which two won. Being Human is however repeated on Monday, so I'll be watching it then instead.

It's been an okay day, this morning I was seized by the completely irrational urge to watch Traders, so I did. This after ion we did a trial run to Withernsea to see how long it takes. We took Milly too, since she loves the seaside as much as I do. Then this evening we watched The Dark Knight and drank a bit too much Glühwein. Which was awesome. Right now I'm watching some other film which is kinda rubbish. Tommorow I'm going to see Slumdog Millionaire, and then watch Supernatural. I might also make biscotti, but I might not, it depends on whether I'll be bothered. Maybe I'll make brownies instead... Or maybe I'll just sit around and watch more Traders.

A plee to ITV

ITV1 stopped showing Supernatural season 2 a few weeks ago. Okay, I've already seen it on ITV2 or 3 (whichever it was shown on, I can't remember) but lots of people haven't. The reason they stopped showing it? Poor ratings. Gee, I wonder why. It was shown at 11pm on a friday night. Most of the viewers are teenagers and young adults, about half of them will be in bed at this time, the other half out getting drunk.

ITV already owns the rights to the third season of Supernatural, but when they treat second season this badly, who knows whether they will even show the third? But by owning the rights to it, they prevent anyone else from showing it instead.

If anyone wants to help, please e-mail ITV and ask them to continue showing Supernatual, urge them to give it a better timeslot and ask whether they plan to show season 3. The e-mail address is dutyoffice@itv.com. And please re-post this anywhere you can.

Thanks!
