My Jpod DVD arrived today, which is awesome. I guess I know what I'm going to be watching tonight.

I should make some icons too. Some Jpod ones, and there's a Slings & Arrows one that I want to make too.

Amazon chaos

prepare4trouble: (ooops)
When I went to order my DVD from Amazon.ca, it couldn't log me in. So I tried a couple of my passwords in case I was using the same one. Still nothing. So I clicked the "Forgotten your password" thing. I put in my e-mail address and it still couldn't find me. Weird. I thought maybe the account had been closed, like because I hadn't used it in a while or something, so I went to open it again, basically clicked on open a new account and put in all the same details, same e-mail address, same password, everything. Then I ordered my DVD. Everything went fine, exactly as normal.

Then I went back a few hours later because I hadn't got my confirmation e-mail, and logged in again. It logged me into my old account, with all my order history intact, and the Slings and Arrows DVD not included in it. So I have no idea now what is going on. I rang my bank, and the order was accepted and they are due to pay out the money, so I e-mailed Amazon and asked them what is going on, but I haven't got a response yet. They say it takes up to 24 hours.

Being as paranoid as I am, I automatically thought someone must have hacked the site and stolen my details, so I asked the bank but no onther transactions have taken place since. Just in case that's because someone decided to take a few days to browse and choose something nice and expensive to buy, I transferred most of the money out of that account and into one i have with another bank. I'm sure it's just a glitch on the site, but it's very annoying, because i want my DVD, and now I don't know what's going on with it. So in order to cheer myself up from this, I think I'll watch my episodes that I have downloaded.

Blah, job hunt

Well, looking for a job is every bit as much fun as I remember. I've been busy today though, I've applied for five jobs and registered with a couple of agencies. Doesn't sound like I've been doing that much, but when you consider how hard it is to find an okay looking job in Hull, finding 5 to apply for in one day is (I think) pretty impressive. Then, I am maybe a bit fussy about what I won't do, I want a job that I don't hate this time.

I had an interview at Wescot on Friday, I didn't get it. Apparently I failed both the interview (they didn't think I seemed interested enough in the job) and the personality test. WTF? I failed the personality test? Nice. I wonder what's wrong with my personality?

Anyway, I think I've done well today, so I rewarded myself by ordering the first season of Slings and Arrows on DVD!

It's summer again. I'm wearing shorts and a strappy top, and I'm too hot. Not that I'm complaining or anything, just I thought the summer was more or less over. So yay!

I thought I'd get called in to work today. It was mad yesterday, more than half the people who were supposed to be in just didn't bother turning up. I guess that didn't happen today, which is unfortunate, because I could really use the extra money. Still, at least this way I can stay home and enjoy the sunshine. I just took Milly out for a walk, we went to the field across the road, but it was full of people and other dogs, so she kept running off to greet them!

My mum's going on about going to see that Sound of Music show that they're doing the auditions for on TV. She says she wants to see it because John Barrowman's in it. Is he? I didn't even know that. Fair enough. I get the feeling I'm going to be dragged along though, and that I'm going to be buying my own ticket too. Talking of John Barrowman, when is Torchwood going to be out? Right, I'm gonna have some food and watch more Slings and Arrows with Jennie.

Should I or shouldn't I apply for this writing course. I want to do it, but it costs £500, which seems a little excessive. But I want to do it. But what if it turns out to be rubbish?

I think I'll just apply and see what happens. They might not want me anyway.

Also I think I've got my sister hooked on Slings and Arrows. She says it's addictive, and stayed up til I have no idea when watching it last night. Hee! I love getting people hooked on shows.

I've just had the best night's sleep I've had in ages. Weird and wacky (and slightly disturbing) dreams, but I woke up feeling really good. Which makes a change. Come to think of it. I don't remember having any dreams for ages either. I'll get my excellent post mattress soon too, which isn't half wrecked and about 1 1/1 inches thinner at one side, so maybe this will become a more regular occurrence.

It's raining today, which sucks a bit. And my parents and sister are back tonight, which sucks even more. But I've got a few hours, and I've got two episodes of Slings And Arrows to watch, so I think I'll do that. And I've got over half of season 4 of Monk to watch. It arrived yesterday, about a week early. Not that I'm complaining or anything!

Aaah, I love days off. It's just not the same when you're working late, you spend the whole day checking your watch.

Series 2 of Slings and Arrow is now available to pre-order from amazon.ca!

And I still don't have the first one. Maybe I'll leave it and ask for both of them for my birthday, then devote a whole day to watching them all. Might be too long for me to have to wait though.

Talking of Slings and Arrows, series 3 is showing now, so how come there are no torrents anywhere?!

I am so glad it's Friday! This week has really dragged. I think I'm going to celebrate by buying a DVD. I have an extensive list of ones I want, I might as well get some while I can afford it (i.e. before I'm fired for being rubbish). Weekend plans involve tidying my room (which I don't want to do, but kinda have to because the mess it starting to pile up again and my auntie and cousin are coming up soon, I need a little less junk in case they see it), watching Slings and Arrows, catching up on watching Traders, and going to the pictures to see Alien Autopsy. And possibly helping my brother move house. He's just got himself a house and I'd like to see it, but in order to do that I might have to help him shift the stuff out of his flat.

Now, gotta get ready and go, I have a driving lesson. Yay!
