Look! Beardless Grant!

It's weird, considering how strange the beard seemed when I first started watching this, now it seems odd to see him without it! Hope it grows back!

Also...

Ayn: I'd like to die in the arms of the man I love.
Grant: Same here.

Excellent!

'Course then Ayn was dancing with Jack when the world was supposed to end. And Grant was looking for her and not Donald. But never mind ;)
*hugs poor upset-looking Grant*

I'm getting dragged out to the pictures tonight instead of watching Nothing. We're going to see Sahara. I hope it's not as pants as it looked from the advert.

Parkour

Once again, my plans to watch Traders were thwarted (I like that word!). Mob (my brother) came round and took over the computer. Luckily, I had written the eps onto disks the day before, so I figured I could watch them anyway, but noooooo. Turns out Mob has a new obsession, something called parkour, which involves running around town jumping of buildings and swinging round stuff, vaulting over stuff etc etc. He described it as 'hardcore urban gymnastics' Fair enough. I never heard of it before. He's determined to master it, anyway. So he spent the day looking it up on the internet, then downloading videos and shouting me to come and watch. It looks pretty cool, actually, although half the time it reminded me of Due South, it looked like stuff Fraser would do!

And he's ordered a DVD about it. So looks like soon when he comes round, he's going to be jumping off the walls and running up and down the fence. Which my mum will love!

So basically, with all the being shouted in to watch parkour, I got all of half an episode of Traders watched, and only in small parts and before being dragged away again! I guess I'll try to watch it now, but Jennie is home, and she hates it (weirdo!).

And then Mob tried to borrow my Nothing DVD. Oh no, no way. He's not the most trustworthy guy when it comes to stuff like that. He's always lending me stuff that he borrowed off his friend who borrowed it of another friend who borrowed it off this guy she works with... I give him a DVD and I doubt I'd ever see it again. (although I told him I wouldn't lend it to anyone!) So he asked if I'd be up for going round to his friend's house tonight and taking it. If his friend is up for it, that is. So, cool. Might be doing that later.

Right. Traders time.

Traders

I think the universe is conspiring to stop me watching Traders! Actually, no, it's just my mum. My mum is conspiring...wait, can a person conspire on their own? I don't even think she's doing it on purpose either.

I have three episodes to watch, (thank you [livejournal.com profile] perian!) and I can't watch them on the computer because people complain, so I write them onto a disk and watch them on the TV. But I couldn't get near the computer until about 2 this afternoon because my mum was sitting there like some immovable object, asking me to do stuff for her. So I finally get on and write the first one onto a disk, and my mum decides she wants to watch it too (I think I have turned her into a fan!), so I have to watch it then instead of doing the other disks. I couldn't even write one while we were watching because Jennie went on the computer. Then she was on for ages, then my mum went back on, so this is the first chance I've had to get online all day! But I'm taking the opportunity not only to write the other 2 eps onto disks, but to back up all the other episodes on data CDs so I can transfer them to my computer. My mum threatened to wipe the computer today. She threatens it all the time, whenever it's going a bit slowly, but sometimes she actually does it, and if I don't have everything safe, I'll lose it!

The episode of Traders I did see was so funny though, Sally managed to make an arse of herself on TV, and then Donald whacked someone on the head with a croquet stick (or whatever they are called). He's a total klutz! (worked out for the best though!)
And this guy was totally coming on to Jack, and Jack really didn't seem to mind that much. When a guy is coming on to him, most straight men don't agree to meet him for a meal (do they?)... this further encourages me to write the Grant/Donald/Jack thing that I'm not going to write.

Expect more Traders rambling tomorrow, since my mum’s not in and can’t stop me watching. I don’t think.
