It's the weekend again. Three day weeks are pure win, there should be more of them. Even if the four day weekend is an insane fest of queen-worshipping insanity.

Sorry, but I just don't get why everyone loves the royal family like they do. To me, all they do is personify the massive gap between the haves and have-nots in this country. They are the ultimate example of inherited power and privilege, a system that should have been done away with long ago. I was reading an article the other day about how the majority of famous Brits are privately educated, from actors to musicians to sports stars to politicians, the ones born into money are the ones who achieve. But that's slightly different rant, but it's connected, about the fact the everyone should have access to the same opportunities whatever their start in life. Anyway, I know everyone else in (it seems) the whole world loves the royals and I don't to piss anyone off, so I'll not rant and rave, and the extra day off work was appreciated.

I went to see Men in Black 3 last night with my friend. It was good. It's been such a long time since the first two films that it seemed a little crazy when the new one appeared. I didn't even know it was out until Rob suggested going. It was a little bit predictable, but it was funny and full of action, and that's why you go and see that kind of film, isn't it, really? It was quite funny when I got there though. Cineworld have this thing where if you book online, you get 10% off, so we met at the cinema, and I booked my tickets on my phone then collected them from the machine straight away, getting my money off. Well, you might as well really.

Right now, I'm in present hunting mode. Father's day is just around the corner, and then my mum's birthday closely follows it. I have an idea for my dad, but for my mum I'm completely stuck and probably going to end up getting her another gift set from Boots, which she does like but they're a bit samey. If anyone has any suggestions, please please tell me!
