There is an American remake of Skins. Apparently it's causing protest groups and general disgust over there, which I think if pretty funny. I checked out the first episode, and it looks like they have pretty much reshot it using the same script. They've made a couple of changes, and it;s not as good because it's the wrong people, which is totally weird, but apart from that the first episode at least, is completely the same.

I kind of wonder why they bothered. Why not show the original version? Unless there's going to be more changes later, I guess.

All true, I suppose, but like you pointed out, they do always fail. And often the originals become likes in the US anyway, though usually not by many people.

I had no idea they'd remade Kath and Kim. I bet it's awful. I must find it and watch it!
