4 1/2 hours to Dr Who!

I really hope the new Dr Who doesn't suck! I'm really looking forward to it, it'd be a huge disappointment if it did. I can't help noticing they've put it on opposite Ant and Dec. And they both aimed at the same audience. I reckon a lot of people who might have watched Dr Who just out of interest won't because they want to see Saturday Night Takeaway.

Well, I know what I'm going to be watching. Ant and Dec. Yep, that's right. My mum is an addict and she's not that fussed about Dr Who (I think the fact that Billie Piper is in it put her off) so I'm going to end up taping Dr Who and watching it later. I can't do it the other way around because if Dr Who is good (which I'm hoping it is) I'm going to want to tape it and keep them until the DVDs come out.

See I'm not really an Ant and Dec fan. I can happily watch it but its not 'must see tv' for me, so I'm setting up the spare TV in my bedroom to watch Doctor Who. I hate taping stuff. I either get distracted by the thought I'm recording something I really want to see, resulting in not enjoying what I end up watching which is a total waste of time. Or I keep forgetting to watch the tape, like with The Exorcism on C4 which I still have on tape that my friend recorded for me and which I keep forgetting to watch, because there is no VCR at my house, and I can't watch the tape while dad wants to watch TV at his place.

I hate taping stuff when it's becuase I can't watch it. Mostly because the dodgyness of my VCR means there's a chance it won't be viewable. So given a choice, I'd watch and record Dr Who. But for some reason my mum's a big Ant and Dec fan(!) so I'm going to have to take a chance and if it doesn't work, download it. (Which I have been tempted to do anyway ever since it was leaked!)

Oh yeah.
Must think positive. It's going to rule and in no way be as terrible as that thing they did with Paul McGann.

I've not read much about it, but there's a few online reviews and no one has said it sucks yet. Well, except on the board on the imdb, but that doesn't count.

It will be good.

I thought Paul McGann made a great Doctor, it was mostly the writing that let that down. I mean, they had the Doctor kiss a woman. That's just not right! And then they had him say he was half human! Oh no. No no no! And what was up with the inside of the TARDIS? I prefer to pretend that that whole sorry chapter never existed.

The new episode though? That ruled!
