Time off...

I've had a pretty good week off so far. I got my bedroom not only tidies, but also cleaned too (because it was probably becoming a bit of health hazard!) and spent quite a bit of time sitting in the sun in the garden. Today though, it has decided to rain, which is just typical because I'm heading to Manchester to see Bruce Springsteen tonight.
Weirdly, we got an e-mail from Ticketmaster telling us that he has no support act, and that he will be on stage at 18.30. This seems stupid early to me, apparently the show will end at 22.00, which also seems early, and I know he has a bit of a reputation for doing really long shows, but 3 1/2 hours? Plus, the sun doesn't even go down til after 9 now, so it's going to be light for hours when he comes on.
Well, we'll see. One thing's for certain though, we're gonna get drenched.
We're also late, because the doors opened at 16.00 and we're not there yet. Which means out chances of getting a good spot are pretty slim.
Never mind, it'll be awesome anyway. :-)

2016-05-26 09:48 (UTC)Rain is fairly normal whenever I go to a gig, I'm sure it knows and does it in purpose! I normally stand, too. But I was with my parents for this and my mum didn't think she would be able to. It doesn't normally affect my enjoyment, when you're dancing and jumping around and stuff you don't really notice you're drenched. But I bet it was completely different at Shakespeare! It was good if them to give you tickets to another night, a lot of companies wouldn't do that.
