(no subject)

This morning I mentioned to my mum that I'd like to learn more Spanish. She told me they probably have courses at the adult education centre not far from here. So she went on the internet, looked it up, found one that only started a few weeks ago that had a lesson tonight, and made me ring them about it. I say 'made' me because I really don't like ringing people up and it takes a lot of convincing.

They said they didn't know if it was on tonight because the teacher was ill and they didn't know if they'd be able to get a replacement, so they took my number, rang me back this afternoon and they are. So I can go.

So now I don't know whether I want to. I mean, I do *want* to, but what if I hate it? What if it's like school? What if I can't find the place? What if I don't recognise someone next week and they get offended. Shit shit shit! See, this is why I never do anything.

I'm going to have to, though, or my mum will never shut up about it.
*cowers in the corner*


Watched Traders today (once the evil Karoo was working properly to let me download!). Poor Grant! Poor poor Grant! That's 3 eps in a row he's had a crap time. I want to hug him.

Go for it, I mean you can always not go again, but you can't go back in time and go this week once you've missed...okay that didn't make sense.

Whatcha got to loose, an evening of your life, and you're learning a new language. And I'm sure you'll remember whoever you meet, and even if you don't, heck you are going to be the new kid they will no doubt accept a couple of mixed up names.

Well, it kinda did...
I did go anyway, and I'll probably go again. At least once. And doesn't look like mixed up names will be the problem, I don't remember a single one!

Wow, your mom sounds *exactly* like mine. She just doesn't *get* the fact that I a) hate phones and b) am shy and don't like being in new situations. She's always all "but once you get there you'll have fun and meet new people." And, okay, sometimes she's right but I don't *want* to meet new people! I have my old people, and they're just fine! *grin*

I'm assuming with the time change you've already either gone or not gone, so I can't give any advice. But if you did go, I hope you had fun!
