SGA DVDs

I don't know what to do about the SGA DVDs!

I bought the first one, but that's it so far. I like commentaries on DVDs, and for some reason they don't have them. I've never bought individual DVDs of SG1, so I don't know if they have them on there, but I think they do. So this gets me thinking, if the SG1 ones have commentaries on the individual and box set releases, (except for the latest series which doesn't have them on the individual ones) is there any point waiting for the box set of SGA, or will that probably not have them either? I mean the region 2 box set, the one that no one has any idea when it will be out yet. I'm pretty sure the region 1 set will have them, but I'd rather get the region 2 if it exists. It's easier that way. But I really, really want those commentaries.

So I don't know if I should just keep buying the individual ones (and catch up on the 2 I haven't got yet), wait for the region 2 box set (whenever that will be) or get the region 1 box set as soon as it's out because it's probably the only way I'll get the commentaries.

Or maybe I should stop caring about the commentaries... (Even though I want them!)

Aaaaagh! What should I do?!

Yeah, it's gonna have to be the box set. But I'm just too impatient to wait! And I really don't want to have to wait even longer for the UK release just to find out I might as well have bought the region 1 set.

I think I prefer Atlantis to SG1 now, this series I did anyway, SG1's not as good as it used to be. And next series they seem to be replacing half the cast with people from Farscape!

SGA has a lot to answer for though, it's not only good enough to obsess over, it triggered a bunch of other obsessions and had me buying films and tv shows I'd never heard of before from Amazon.ca! :)

I loved farscape, even though I did miss most of the last series. I have to admit though, (once he was introduced at least), I pretty much watched it exclusively for Stark!
Now if Paul Goddard was on Stargate, *that* would be good. Instead we get Claudia Black. No offence to her, but I hate the character she plays. (On SG1, not Farscape!) And then Ben Browder is going to be in it too. That's a bit weird, I think...

Now, i hated Stark, some whinging pussy-assed wanna be philosopher, too much like myself. I must admit to feeling a little twinge of lust when i see claudia black, but having not seen her character in SG1 i can't comment on any dislike for it. And Ben Browder? it's a love/hate thing, he can act, his character was cool, and the episodes he directed were some of the best ones in the series, but i hate him for being good looking, handsome bastard!

Ah come on, you've got to love Stark. He's funny. And a bit crazy! I thought he was one of the most interesting characters. I think that's why I liked him, anyway!
Claudia Black turns up in the SG1 ep Promethius Unbound, the whole ep sucked though, so that might have clouded my judgement a bit. She's gonna be back next series for something like 5 eps while Amanda Tapping is away, and BB's gonna be in the whole series I think. He's replacing...er someone (I don't want to give you spoilers!)
