I really should be in bed, I've got to get up tomorrow. Does anyone know why I'm not only still online, but also writing about how I shouldn't be?
Saw Threads toady. It was pretty cool. Leaves me wondering what they're going to do in the next series though. I mean, The Replicators are gone, at least for the time being. The Goa'uld are still around, but most of the Jaffa have rebelled, or it looked that way. Anubis is out of the way. What's left? Well, I'm sure they'll think of something. Maybe they'll set something up in Moebius. And if they don’t, at least it’ll have McKay in it!
I wasn't too impressed with all the Jack/Sam shippyness in Threads though. It's very boring. Besides, Jack loves Daniel. They should really keep the romancy/shippy/dodgy stuff out of my favourite sci-fi, it bodges things up. In a way, after seeing this I'm almost glad RDA isn't going to be in many eps next series. If Jack and Sam get together and then have a lot of scenes together, it could get kinda puke-inducing!
And anyway JACK LOVES DANIEL!!!

I have searched fish4jobs for jobs in Hull and found 3 that I might be capable of doing, none of which I think I will get. Still, I'll apply anyway. I'm sick of this though. Hull sucks for getting jobs, but I don't know if I'd have more luck somewhere else. Maybe it's just that I suck at getting jobs. I have no idea what i want to do, which doesn't help. I do know I don't want to do office work though, which is what all the jobs I think I would be able to do are.
I am seriously considering leaving the country. Not that I think I'd have more luck, but maybe with my parents not in the next room, I'd have more inclination. Yeah, so why not move to another town, you say? Well, that would be boring. If I'm going to go to all the bother of moving, I'd want it to be somewhere slightly more interesting than Leeds (or wherever). Soooo, where shall I go? It's got to be somewhere they speak English or German. Maybe Dutch or Spanish if I improve a bit, maybe even French if I imporve a lot. So that leaves me with Ireland, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichenstien, Holland, Spain, most of South America, France (maybe), and a whole bunch of countries in Africa. Have I missed anywhere? Probably. Where shall I go? Most likely nowhere. I'm going to be stuck in Hull for the rest of my life, I can see it!
There is no Atlantis for 2 weeks now! They're putting on an extra long episode of SG1 next week, so it's not on. Still, it looks like it's going to be a good SG1 episode...
On the plus side, in two weeks it looks like I’ll get a double dose of McKay to make up for it. He's apparently going to be in the SG1 ep too!

Impulse buying
Thursday, 27 January 2005 00:27So, guess what I bought today. Season 6 of Stargate SG1. No, not just the first disk, that I'd been trying to justify spending £20 on for the past however long. The whole thing, the box set. No, before you go assuming I spent £60, it was cheap. Sliverscreen were selling them for £30 each, season 1-6 (random fact - it had just occurred to me that I have taken to writing 'season' instead of 'series'. I didn't even notice till now. Weird) and I was very (very, very, very) tempted to get the lot. But I suppose spending £180 on DVDs in one day is a bit overkill. Would have been so cool though! But no, I just got the one. *Series* 6 is the one I didn't see. I was in Austria when it aired on Sky, and I never got into watching them on C4. (Mostly because I forget, I mean, whose stupid idea was it to put them on in the middle of a Sunday afternoon?) So, here is my justification for buying it. I personally don't think I need to justify it, but my sister seemed somewhat appalled at my spending (and I didn't even mention the £20 worth of comics I also bought!) so, on the off chance that she reads this, because I can't be bothered actually saying it, Jennie, here is my justification:
1) Like I said, I haven't seen it. People keep mentioning things that happened in random episodes of SG1, and some of them happened during season 6. I want to know what I missed.
2) It was cheap. I was after all thinking of buying one disk for £20. For an extra tenner I got the whole season (series...)
3) McKay is in the first episodes. McKay rules, David Hewlett rules, and mad as it sounds, it annoys me that I haven't seen him in this.
4) Why the smeg is it any of your business anyway? My money, my decision. :p
So, that's my week's viewing worked out!
News from my other fandom - Teachers had been Cancelled. I got 2 e-mails about it from different people. Sad, I guess. But after seeing the last series, I can't blame them. I will have to mention it on the site. I really should update. It's been over a month since I have. I hate people that don't update when there is stuff to say..!
