prepare4troubleIt's been a strange kind of day. Nothing really happened, I just sat around watching the water rise.
We've been really lucky though. A few doors down they spent most of the day emptying water from the garden in an effort to stop if getting in the house at the front. Out front garden was fine, is must slope their way. And my mum was talking to her cousin in Sheffield, they have no power, her husband can't get home tonight and they don't know how long it'll take to get to sorted.
I don't know if I'm having my first day at work tomorrow or not. I got a message on my phone today saying NPower closed at 2.30, and tomorrow morning I have to wait until the agency rings me before I set off, so they can let me know if they're even opening. I'm going to assume they are and get up ready. The rain has stopped now, anyway, and it doesn't look like it's about to start again. Which is good, because the garden flood is going down, and it did come dangerously close to getting in the house this afternoon.
