Eating healthy...?
Sunday, 23 January 2005 02:05My sister reckons we don't eat healthily enough. She was having a right old moan today about it. Apparently in her world, the only way to be healthy is to eat salad. Lots and lots of salad. Well, I think I eat pretty healthily, thanks Jen. Okay, I'm not a salad eater, but here's what I had today:
Breakfast: Porridge (with sugar, true)
Dinner: 3 slices of granary bread, toasted, with hummus
Tea: Gross, badly cooked rice thing with an egg and some bread
Snack: Crackers, cheese
Okay, not exactly a typical day. I managed to get through without needing to munch on anything else. Usually we'll have something else for tea, sometimes with chips. And on the average day I might have a bag of crisps or a chocolate bar, and the occasional glucose tablet, but I'm not an unhealthy eater.
Just because she has Cheerios for breakfast and a fried egg sandwich for dinner doesn't give her the right to ruin the best meal of the day (tea) by guilting my mum into doing salad regularly. *sigh*
Ah well. Watched The Gift again today. Not a bad ep, considering it's a Teyla one. Lots of Beckett, always a good thing. Only two more to go now though till the end of the series, how depressing is that? Still, at least they're supposedly new on Sky. Watching an ep with someone who had never seen it before is almost as good as watching it for the first time.
