Randomness

I only have 4 more season 2 Due South episodes to watch, I'm going to have to buy the third season pretty soon. I really shouldn't though! Talking of DVDs I need, I also haven't got Red Dwarf series 6, the second Atlantis DVD and any number of other things that I need. And since I've been re-watching Farscape on BBC3 I've re-discovered that obsession and am seriously considering getting all those on DVD too.

I actually planned on it a few years ago, and I got most of the first season and the first one of season 3. But that's it. I need the rest. Especially now they've stopped showing them (finished tonight with Die Me Dichotomy, the episode that turned me from a casual fan into an obsessed, DVD buying nutter!) I should stop spending so much though. I buy way too many DVDs, books and comics. I can't cut back on the comics because I'm hooked on them, but the DVDs...well, I guess I'm hooked on them too. But I could always wait a bit between purchases. I think I'm going to cut back on the spending until I get a job. On the other hand, I decided that a few months ago and just didn't. That doesn't bode well for the future of this plan!

My mum watched Traders with me this evening. I think she's definitely been turned into a fan. But she fell asleep five minutes before the end. I don't know what it is with her and my dad. Both of them seem incapable of watching TV and staying conscious. It's quite annoying. Still, at least she didn't snore. She did say that watching Traders makes her feel dizzy though. I have no idea whether she was exaggerating or not!

And veering off into yet another fandom, looks like it's official, David Tennant will be the 10th Doctor

And I'm off to bed. Which seems weird since it's only 2am, I guess I'm improving! (For now...)

Old files!

Completely bored this evening, I found myself looking through all the old files on my computer that I haven't opened for years. I have a surprisingly large collection of Pokemon, Real Ghostbusters and Randall and Hopkirk screencaps that I had completely forgotten about, MP3s I haven't listened to in years, old scanned magazine interviews with Reeves and Mortimer and fanfic I don't remember writing.

It's the weirdest thing. I mean, I remembered it once I rwad through it, but this morning I had no idea that I had written Lost Boys fanfic, and I had forgotten about the two half finished Red Dwarf fics, the (very bizzare) Highlander/Futurama crossover I attempted and a Farscape fic that appears to be finished. I didn't know I wrote a farscape fic! But there it is. File created 08 December 2001, 01:04:09, modified 08 December 2001, 22:17:52. It's not very good. It's Stark rambling on to Zhaan after she dies. I have no idea what I was thinking really. Ah well!

I noticed that the computer (not mine, the one we share) is nearly completely full. The C drive has 3.63 GB left. So I checket around to see what's using all the space (like I said, I was bored). I couldn't find it, it's probably everything together. But I guess sooner or lated my mum's going to notice the same thing and she'll have a look around herself. When she does, the first place she's going to look is my documents. So I checked there, and found that my files are taking up 8.36 GB! To put that in perspective, my dad uses 246 MB, my mum uses 128 MB, Jennie uses 109 MB, Lee 40.9 MB and Matthew 1.93 MB (but he moved out and took his files with him) So...ooops. I guess I'm in trouble if my mum notices that! I'm going to have to spend most of tomorrow backing up my stuff onto CDs and transfering it to my computer. Then deleting it from this before someone notices! I have been downlaoding a lot of stuff recently!

I think I might go to bed soon, anyway. It'll make a nice change to be asleep before 5am.

I have so wasted today. I got up at gone twelve, had something to eat, went online, watched ER with Jennie, went online some more, made the tea (we're having chilli :-D) and watched Farscape. I'm getting back into that since I watched part 1 of the Peacekeeper Wars on Sunday. I'd forgotten how good it is. Now, I'm on the message boards again, planning to spend the evening watching telly. I need to get a life...

100 hours to Before I Sleep...
(but I already saw it :-D)

903 hours, 50 mins till the first Stargate DVD comes out... (Well, to 9am that day)
905 hours (aprox) till I get the first Stargate DVD...
